Image via Wikipedia This is totally off topic, but it needs to be addressed. BV. That's right, bacterial vaginosis. This is becoming an epidemic everywhere!! Now that is has been jokingly thrown out there, bv is affecting a lot of women, young and old. How do I know these things you might ask? I work as a Medical Lab Tech and I see a lot of these specimens throughout the week. Teenage girls, pregnant women and mature women all have this specific problem. If you've done any reading at all on this subject you will find that it is not considered a STD, but if it is a chronic problem, consider having you partner treated. It is also noted that black women and those who have multiple partners may be more susceptible to bv. 1/2 c shea butter 1/4 c cocoa butter 1/3 c oils 2 tbs aloe vera gel 1 tbs glycerin 10 drops essential oils 10 drops tea tree oil (preservative) Hand mixer  1.Soften butters by putting them in the microwave for a few seconds. You do not want them to be totally liquid, just soft enough so you can blend them well. Mix for 15-20 minutes, so that its fluffy. If it becomes too liquid, just put the mixture in the freezer for 5 minutes and alternate mixing and freezing until you have mixed for a total of 15-20 minutes. 2. Add the aloe vera gel and glycerin, mix for 5 minutes. 3. Last but not least, add the essential oil of your choice and your preservative. Mix for another 5 minutes. The preservative may be optional, but it is important if you will be using with wet hands. Transferring water to your butter when styling wet hair may cause mold to grow. This is my finished product. Has anyone tried Gold Medal's Herbal Tame?? Since I can't seem to find any recent postings about it, I decided to buy some and try it myself. Besides the ONE person who tried it and liked it umpteen years ago, I've come upon nothing. There are some very old YouTube vids out there, check it out if you so please. Here is a list of the ingredients: Water, Daphne Gnidium, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protien, Henna, Aloevera,Sage Extract, Nettle Extract, Rosemary Extract, Capsium Extract, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance. I will not research the ingredients until I find out if it works for me. I just want something to do what it says and is easy on the pocket book! Can't wait till I get mine in the mail.
